Stefan Descheemaeker Chief Executive Officer

Joined: 2015

Stefan Descheemaeker was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of the Company and of Iglo on June 1, 2015. He was previously at Delhaize Group SA, the international food retailer, where he was Chief Financial Officer between 2008 and 2011 before becoming Chief Executive Officer of its European division until October 2013. Since leaving Delhaize Group SA, Mr. Descheemaeker has taken on board positions with Telenet Group Holdings N.V. and Group Psychologies, served as an industry advisor to Bain Capital and been a professor at the Université Libre de Bruxelles. Between 1996 and 2008, Mr. Descheemaeker was at Interbrew (now Anheuser-Busch InBev) where he was Head of Strategy & External Growth responsible for managing M&A and strategy, during the time of the merger of Interbrew and AmBev in 2004, and prior to that he held operational management roles as Zone President in the U.S., Central and Eastern Europe, and Western Europe. Mr. Descheemaeker started his career with Cobepa, at that time the Benelux investment company of BNP-Paribas. Mr. Descheemaeker currently serves as a Director on the Board of Anheuser-Busch InBev, a position he has held since 2008.

Samy Zekhout Chief Financial Officer

Samy Zekhout has been the Chief Financial Officer of Nomad Foods since April 1, 2018. He was previously at Procter & Gamble for more than 30 years, most recently as CFO and Vice President of Global Grooming over the past 11 years. During his tenure at Procter & Gamble, Mr. Zekhout was instrumental in driving increased profitability and cash flow performance, step-change revenue growth across the portfolio and the successful execution and integration of several acquisitions. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Zekhout has held various finance roles at Procter & Gamble while residing in several countries including France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Switzerland and the United States.

Wayne Hudson Managing Director, United Kingdom & Ireland

Joined: 2016

Wayne joined us as Managing Director of Birds Eye Limited in January 2016. Wayne has had a long and illustrious career in the FMCG world. He has 30 years of experience including 14 years at Kerry Foods, as well as stints at Spillers Petfoods and United Biscuits. Wayne’s most recent role was Managing Director of Young’s Seafood Limited Frozen Division.

Steven Libermann Managing Director, Southern Europe

Joined: 2015

Steven was appointed Managing Director of our Southern Europe region in July 2018 (Italy, France, Spain and Portugal) after managing Western Europe since September 2016. Prior to that, he was CEO of Findus Southern Europe, managing our businesses in France and Spain since May 2015. Since joining the Findus Group in 2000, his roles included Marketing Director and Sales Director Findus France and Managing Director Findus Spain. Outside of the Findus Group, Steven enjoyed stints as Managing Director at Senoble and Senior Equity Fund Advisor. His early management career included international marketing positions at Nestlé and BIC.

Albert Mathieu Chief Commercial Officer

Joined: 2016

Albert joined the company as Chief Commercial Officer in October 2016, bringing a wealth of experience in consumer goods. He came from Mondelez where he spent the last three years as President of Biscuits Europe. Before joining Mondelez in 2013, Albert built his career at Mars where he had a variety of roles in Petcare, Food and Chocolate in Europe and South America during the 19 years he was at the company. This included Marketing Director Chocolate France and South Europe, Marketing Director for the South America Region, General Manager of Argentina and Chile and Regional President of Mars Food Europe.

Brian Murray Group HR Director

Joined: 2002

Brian’s time with the company spans its ownership periods under Unilever, the private equity fund Permira and now Nomad Foods. He joined Unilever in 2002 and worked in the Ice Cream and Frozen Food business before moving to Unilever UK. In his time with Iglo, Brian was HR Director for the UK and Ireland business and HR Director for the Iglo Markets. He is currently Group HR Director for Nomad Foods Europe. An MBA Graduate, Brian has extensive international FMCG experience having held roles in Sales, Marketing, Supply Operations and General Management at Coca-Cola Enterprises before focusing his career in HR and Organisation Development.

Jason Musk Chief Supply Officer

Joined: 2017

Jason joined Nomad Foods Europe in May 2017 and is responsible for the entire supply chain organisation including manufacturing operations, procurement, quality management and transformation programmes. His most recent position was at 2Sisters Food Group where he held the roles of Operations Director and Group Transformation & Capital Projects Director. Jason has had an international career in FMCG spanning over 25 years at companies including San Miguel, Molson Coors, Premier Foods & Bakkavor with leadership responsibilities covering complex multi-site manufacturing operations, management of major investment programmes and the strategic leadership of supply chain optimisation initiatives.

Peter Odemark Managing Director, Nordics

Joined: 2017

Peter joined Nomad Foods Europe in April 2017. His most recent position prior to taking up the role of Managing Director, Nordics, was as CEO of Abdon Mills-Finax Group, a Swedish food company that produces plant based health food and baking products. An MBA graduate, Peter has spent his career in FMCG and over the past ten years has worked for The Coca-Cola Company, Innocent and Danone in various Managing Director roles. This included General Manager for the Danone Nordic Cluster, Managing Director, ProViva and Country Manager for Innocent Drinks in Sweden.

Antje Schubert Managing Director, Western Europe

Joined: 2014

Antje was appointed Managing Director of our Western Europe region in July 2018 with responsibility for Austria, Belgium, Netherlands and Germany. She joined the company as General Manager, iglo Netherlands in 2014 and was then promoted to become General Manager, iglo Germany in 2015. Throughout her extensive international career in FMCG, Antje has held a broad variety of marketing, sales and general management positions at companies including Danone Baby Nutrition, Reckitt Benckiser and Kraft Foods. She has lived in several countries including Netherlands, Austria, Spain, UK and Poland and speaks five different languages.

Anja van Bergen Global General Counsel

Joined: 2016

Anja joined in April 2016 as Global General Counsel for Nomad Foods. Her most recent position was in the Netherlands as General Counsel, Global Compliance Officer and Company Secretary for Nutreco, a global leader in animal nutrition and fish feed. Anja has had a successful career in law working in a variety of industries including construction, banking and animal nutrition. She has extensive experience in all aspects of law with a particular specialism in M & A gained from working in companies such as Nutreco, Arcadis, ABN Amro and ING Bank.
