Nomad Foods named in the 2026 Dow Jones Best in Class Index Europe for fifth consecutive year

  • Largest frozen food producer in Europe ranked in the top twenty percentile (globally) and in the top ten percentile (within Europe) for Food Product companies.

WOKING, England – 5 May 2026 – Nomad Foods Limited (NYSE: NOMD), Europe’s leading frozen food company, has today announced that it has been included in the annual Dow Jones Best in Class Index Europe (DJ BIC Europe) for the fifth consecutive year. The frozen food manufacturer ranked in the top twenty percentile globally and the top ten percentile in Europe within the Food Products sector, underscoring the company’s continued progress and leadership in sustainability initiatives.

The Company received a score of 62 out of 100, up four points year-on-year, and well above the global industry average. This reflects improved scores across priority areas for the business including Operational Efficiency in Energy, Waste and Water, Climate Strategy, Occupational Health and Safety, as well as Materiality.

This news follows Nomad Foods’ inclusion in S&P’s 2026 Global Sustainability Yearbook as a Member in the Food Products industry in February.

David Pettet, Head of Sustainability at Nomad Foods, said, “Being recognised in the Dow Jones Sustainability Europe Index for the fifth consecutive year is a significant achievement and one we’re extremely proud of. It reflects our teams’ sustained commitment to embedding sound environmental, social and governance practices into the way we operate and grow. While we recognise there is still more to do, that challenge represents a real opportunity to deliver further value for our business and wider society. These results show that disciplined action, strong partnerships and clear targets can drive meaningful progress.”

Climate action continues to be a core pillar of Nomad Foods’ sustainability strategy. Following a re-baselining of its greenhouse gas footprint in 2024, the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) validated the company’s 2050 net-zero ambition and approved its refreshed science-based emissions reduction targets across operations and the wider value chain in 2025. The Company has already delivered strong progress, reducing absolute emissions by 40.8% and emissions intensity by 37.4% versus a 2019 baseline, in line with its first SBTi targets set in 2021.
